Peace & Stillness

One of the things that we all seem to want more of is Peace. Here are some  simple tips for how to feel more peaceful:

  • Turn off all electronic appliances for 5 minutes and just sit with yourself in silence. If you cant manage that then try just one minute!
  • Step out into nature for a few minutes or longer. If you can remove your shoes and feel the ground under your feet. Remind yourself that you are a child of nature. 
  • Wash your hands with a lovely smelling soap loving your hands and being grateful for the sensations.
  • Sit somewhere in a high street and observe people without judging them but just notice their level of busyness of peacefulness. Silently wish all beings peacefulness.
  • After your alarm goes off set it to snooze for 10 minutes and just allow yourself to lie there remembering all the things in your life that you have to be grateful for.
  • Take 5 uninterrupted minutes to stand in front of your mirror and look carefully and kindly in your own eyes. See who is there behind your eyes. You may want to say kindly to yourself: 'I see you and you are safe.'
